Pastor Sagar Mekwan is from a city called Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat, India. He grew up in a polytheistic family and was passionate about religion. He became Christian at the age of 17 upon hearing a sermon on Isaiah 53. The preaching of John Piper and Martin Lloyd Jones continues to remain formative to this day. He has studied Physics-Electronics at bachelor and graduate school before sensing a call to minister. He graduated with an M.Div. from Asian Center for Theological studies and Mission (ACTS), in Korea and a Th.M. in the Old Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) and continues to pursue doctoral work in the Old Testament at TEDS in Deerfield, USA. Prior to serving at Cornerstone, he has served as a missionary trainee in Gujarat, India and as a Youth/English ministry pastor in Korea and United States of America. He is married to Jihye, and has two daughters named Ellyn and Elise. He likes everything outdoor, hiking, camping, ice-fishing and loves to read across the spectrum. He especially loves gardening and observing plants.

Sagar강도사님은 인도 구자랏주의 아메다바드에서 자랐습니다. 다신교를 믿는 가정에서 어릴 때부터 여러 종교를 접하며 종교에 관심을 갖게 되었습니다. 17세에 이사야 53장에 대한 설교를 듣고 예수님을 영접하게 되었고 그 후 John Piper와 Martin Lloyd Jones의 설교를 들으며 신앙을 키워갔습니다. 대학에서 물리학과 전자공학을 공부하다 하나님의 부르심을 받고 한국에 있는 아세아연합신학대학교에서 M.Div과정을 마친 후 현재 Trinity Evangelical Divinity School에서 구약학 박사과정을 하고 있습니다. 서지혜 사모와 두 딸, Ellyn, Elise와 Deerfield에서 살고 있는 Sagar 강도사님은 야외 활동과 정원을 가꾸는 것을 좋아합니다.
